    Job Description

    Responsible for reviewing and/or managing the drafting of Commercial loan documents, while protecting the bank’s interest and assisting Special Asset Group (SAG) Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers or Asset Manager as applicable with the management of performing and non-performing loans or a portfolio of OREO (other real estate owned). In addition to construction and term loans, a typical loan portfolio may include unsecured and secured borrowing base lines of credit, subscription lines, and various other complex loan products. The Special Loan Associate is an integral member of the SAG Operations Team and ensures protection of the Bank’s interest while providing a high level of customer service

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

     

    -Five to seven or more years of experience in commercial loan administration or transferable experience in commercial loan administration and documentation

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    - Considerable knowledge of commercial loan documentation and loan servicing systems

     

    - Strong technical expertise in loan management functions

     

    - Advanced knowledge of commercial loan finance, law, documentation, accounting, data systems, Bankruptcy, and Appraisals and Valuations

     

    - Knowledgeable with compliance matters such as Regulation B, SCRA, Credit Bureau Usage and Flood compliance

     

    - Ability to meet the requirements to be commissioned as a Notary Public

    Additional Job Description

    The operations support staff is responsible for assisting in the administration of a portfolio of performing and non-performing loans. Provides customer service to commercial, corporate, community banking, trust, private client, consumer and residential loan customers, as applicable in the form of operations, administrative and clerical support to the assigned Loan Relationship Manager as follows:

     

    + Boards loans, loan renewals, modifications, etc. assuring accuracy and compliance via Credit Memo and loan documentation.

    + Works closely with Attorney’s, Title Officer’s or Lending Services representative’s for loans to coordinate the recording of collateral documents to include but not limited Deeds of Trust, Forbearance Agreements and UCC filings for non-real estate collateral.

    + Orders Internal Loan Documents through CLDOCS via CLWII per Credit Memo approval.

    + Adheres to Flood Compliance obtaining flood approval through prefunding tasks.

    + May order Appraisals, Environmental Requests and Evaluations through the RIMS appraisal system.

    + Monitors and clears collateral exceptions.

    + Prepares Payoff Letters assuring compliance with Treasury for prepayment indemnity.

    + Fixed Rate Lock requests as instructed.

    + Processes payments, payoffs, partial pay downs and loan maintenance as instructed.

    + Prepare PCMR books for quarterly reporting and distribution.

    + Initiate the payment of legal and other invoices as applicable through the Workday eInvoice tool

    + Expense tracking for borrower reimbursement of payments

    + Order Credit Bureau Reports/LexisNexis/DNB etc.

    + Performs check backs to assure accuracy of all system maintenance, boarding’s, etc.

    + DDA & LOC account closures as instructed.

    + DDA account opened through CCS for bank-controlled accounts.

    + Default Rates – invoking/revoking maintenance to system(s) per terms of the Promissory Note and as instructed by RM.

    + ACH Risk Profile Form and WAM – Monitoring ACH report for expiring commitments as instructed by RM.

    + Protective advance per Credit Memo approval and as instructed by RM.

    + Performs various research as need on loans and accounts.

    + Transfer In/Out Process – RM system maintenance, Customer Profile/Information Sheet, coordination of paper or electronic file to or from originating business line.

    + Clerical support such as, but not limited to general filing, customer correspondence, ordering of supplies, mail distribution, UPS labels, record retention, service requests for copiers, fax machines, computers and laptops

    + Familiar with SBA (Small Business Administration) process, such as submission of Guaranty, Charge Off and Liquidation Packages, CPC Tab, SBA Etran, SBA tracking systems such as BBNet.

    ***Please note for this role the in-office requirement is 4 days in office (Friday is standard WFH day) ****

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $25.63 - $34.18
