Essential Duties & Responsibilities

+ Manage tax audits including gathering data, documentation, reviewing information provided by the auditor, and responding to information requests from both auditors and third-party consultants.

+ Review and validate audit samples and provide technical sampling expertise on design of sampling plan.

+ Complete the timely compliance of sales and use taxes returns. Complete journal entries and tax account reconciliations

+ Research state, local and federal tax issues relating to current and potential future activity

+ Prepare and present tax training presentations to internal partners

+ Assist with Tax Software Implementation Projects

+ Analyzes transactional tax data for potential refund opportunities and coordinates identified refunds; recommends corrective action, where applicable, to prevent future occurrences of tax overpayment.

+ Collect, maintain, and issue appropriate exemption certificates and documentation
