The Admissions Advisor will provide administrative and operational support to the admissions process at the CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS). Reporting to the Director of Admissions and/or designee, the Advisor assists with the processing of applications, management of admissions materials, and communication with applicants to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely admissions operations.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Provides personalized guidance to prospective students regarding the admissions process, application requirements, and academic programs.
+ Addresses recruitment, admissions, and enrollment inquiries via various channels including phone, e-mail, and in -person meetings.
+ Supports the operations of the admissions office through application review.
+ Utilizes college software, including CUNYFirst and Slate CRM, to communicate with students, enter data, review applications, and make updates to records.
+ Works in partnership with academic departments, campus offices, and other college constituents to support recruited students through the admissions and enrollment process.
+ Performs related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and accurate admissions operations.
NOTE:
Until further notice, work will be performed in a hybrid manner with 70% onsite presence.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in higher education admissions, application processing, or student records management.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and documentation.
+ Proficiency with student information systems (CUNYfirst and Slate preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
+ Commitment to campus values of diversity, equity and inclusion.
+ Ability to work occasional evenings or weekend during peak processing periods.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Coordinates and contributes to student recruiting activities.
- Conducts open house sessions and orientations to ensure applicants are fully informed of requirements and processes
- Assists in direct recruiting at high schools, community outreach events, and other appropriate locations
- Provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, email, or letter
- Maintains current information about College programs and degree requirements
- Performs related duties as assigned

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with education and experience between $59,444 - $66,154.
