The Lead Content Editor, Podcast Video position exists to work with the FOF Audio team by creating, editing, and facilitating the creation of native digital video content for shows created by the Audio team. This position is ideal for someone with proven digital and social media success and strong audio/video creation skills, especially in storytelling, who wants to impact lives globally.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively in a team environment, but as a self-starter
Oversees creating, producing, and publishing video content derived from podcasts for digital, website, and social media distribution, ensuring compelling storytelling and persuasive communication to deliver on KMI integration efforts aligned with content strategy and marketing goals
Coordinates with Show Producers, Social Media team, and Content Producers across departments to maximize collaborative efforts and create cohesive content variations across digital channels
Establishes, implements, and manages key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for digital content, working with other teams to optimize performance and ensure the success of digital initiatives
Coordinates with and provide appropriate direction for Marketing, social media, and other departments to promote shows, resources, and initiatives, maximizing digital impact and reach
Builds and maintains strong relationships with partnering divisions and departments to ensure cooperative and productive engagement for programs and successful project completion
Manages the successful (on-time, on-budget, on-brand) execution of multiple simultaneous projects, maintaining comprehensive documentation of work, approvals, metrics, milestones, deliverables, and budget
Implements and oversees quality control processes to ensure all video content related to shows the team produces meets brand standards, technical specifications, and accessibility requirements
Stays current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in video production, podcast visualization, and digital content distribution
Develops and manages a content calendar that aligns video content with podcast episodes, corresponding content, and promotional materials
Collaborates with the podcast team and other content producers to identify opportunities for video integration, such as behind-the-scenes content, visual explainers, or animated segments that enhance the podcast experience
Analyzes performance data and viewer feedback to continuously improve video content strategy and execution
Ensures compliance with copyright laws, licensing agreements, and platform-specific guidelines for all video content

Knowledge/Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, or Journalism (or related field)
+ 5-7 years of experience writing and creating audio and video for digital platforms
+ Demonstrated success in broadcast, digital, and social media
+ Working knowledge of Focus on the Family’s mission, values, and objectives
+ Computer proficiency in a variety of Microsoft Office Tools
+ Proficiency with Wordpress
+ Consumer of media across variety of channels
+ Knowledge of current media and social media trends and best practices for delivering content to audiences

Pay Range: $64,476 to $74,358/yr
