Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate

Description: If you enjoy giving exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, this is the job for you! As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for preparing, loading, unloading, operating and cleaning a truck, maintaining records, and helping to develop customer rapport. The right candidate is eager to learn, independent, has a keen eye for planning, and is driven to develop professionally and personally over time. Other responsibilities include stocking shelves, receiving material, shipping material, and maintaining order and cleanliness of the warehouse and yard. Additional tasks may be given at the discretion of your manager.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Skilled in written and oral communication

• Current, valid driver’s license with clean driving record , no CDL required

• 2+ years of delivery experience preferred

• Ability to safely operate equipment including but not limited to a forklift (certification provided on the job), pallet jacks, etc.

• Basic computer skills

• Customer Service oriented

• Detailed, extremely organized, and capable of thinking creatively

• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)

This role can quickly turn into a counter or inside sales position for the right person with a good work ethic and the drive to succeed.

Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour plus eligible for profit sharing

Working Conditions: General warehouse conditions. Operation of warehouse equipment and driving of a work truck to pick-up and/or deliver local orders. Deliveries expected in all weather conditions. Periodically lift up to 50+ lbs.

Reports to: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

In order to operate our trucks, you will need a valid driver's license and a clean driving history. A CDL endorsement is not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant Experience.

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures. Deliveries in all weather conditions including during extreme hot/cold, rain and other seasonal conditions.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Legally operate a motor vehicle and maintain a driving record that meets company standards

+ Load all order fulfillment materials onto the truck for delivery and unload at delivery

+ Communicate any vehicle mechanical problems to direct supervisor

+ Perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicle

+ Deliver/pick up merchandise to/from customers and suppliers promptly, efficiently, and in a professional manner

+ Pick up material from vendors

+ Receive incoming freight

+ Keep a clean and organized warehouse

+ Stock material on shelves

+ Pick orders

+ Processing returns from customers and to vendors

+ Operate a Microsoft-based computer system

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $21 to $24 hourly.
