    We are looking for a talented **Communications Manager** to join our team specializing in Corporate Communications.

    Job Summary

    This role supports the execution of Cummins’ internal communications strategy by managing content across multiple channels, optimizing each for effectiveness, and applying advanced data analytics to strengthen engagement and improve communication outcomes.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    4. **Strategic Communications Planning** : Developing and executing strategic communications plans, including marketing and promotional strategies, will effectively convey key messages and enhance brand visibility.

    5. **Tactical Execution** : Leading the tactical execution of marketing and communications plans will ensure that initiatives are implemented smoothly and achieve desired results.

    6. **Process Improvement and Excellence** : Identifying, coaching, and managing process improvements will streamline operations and promote functional excellence, simplifying complex messages across multiple stakeholders.

    7. **Content Creation and Messaging** : Writing, editing, and creating content and strategic messaging that adheres to relevant style guides will ensure clear and impactful communication.

    8. **Brand Representation** : Representing, adhering to, and championing the Cummins brand will uphold the company's values and enhance its reputation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    1. **Brand Management Skills** : Create a competitive advantage through strong brand recognition, ensuring the brand meets or exceeds stakeholder expectations. Apply brand standards consistently to maintain a positive company reputation.

    2. **Creative Communication Design** : Present information compellingly through storytelling to engage target audiences. Use appropriate tools and media types to create high-quality visual and experiential media.

    3. **Digital Media Savvy** : Leverage current and emerging digital media strategies, such as email automation, social media, and content management systems, to influence buyer behavior or drive target audiences to desired actions.

    4. **Organizational Savvy** : Navigate complex organizational dynamics, including policies, processes, and people-related challenges, to achieve objectives effectively.

    5. **Data Analytics Proficiency** : Discover, interpret, and communicate qualitative and quantitative data. Use statistical methods, data visualization, and problem-solving approaches to extract meaningful patterns and insights, enabling data-driven business decisions.

    6. **Intuitive Listening and Adapting Solutions** : Translate the needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders into actionable solutions through active listening and intuition. Develop and implement solutions that meet or exceed their needs, providing significant value.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education, Licenses, Certifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

    + Minimum seven years of experience in digital communications.

    + Experience managing people.

    Experience:

    + Digital communications strategy: Proven ability to develop and execute targeted internal communications strategy with expertise in audience segmentation and campaign lifecycle management.

    + Digital channels and CMS proficiency: Advanced knowledge of enterprise-scale digital platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Appspace, and enterprise content hubs to manage and distribute content across multiple channels.

    + Advanced data analytics: Strong skills in analyzing content engagement and optimizing strategies to maximize reach and impact.

    + Graphic design skills, visual communications channel capabilities preferred.

    + Global and B2B experience preferred.

    + 6 Sigma, Value Stream Transformation, continuous improvement experience preferred.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    Editorial strategy

    + Drive the execution of the internal communications editorial strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader integrated strategic communications plan.

    + Manage the global editorial calendar in Airtable, aligning with company priorities and communication campaigns, and providing a 90-day content outlook.

    Multi-channel content creation and distribution

    + Oversee daily content intake, creation, and distribution workflow for internal communications across platforms (e.g., intranet, Teams, digital signage, enterprise emails) using Airtable and an upcoming multi-channel distribution platform.

    + Use AI tools and automation to personalize content for different employee segments based on data such as location, department and role.

    + Ensure timely delivery, error-free campaign execution, and seamless coordination while preventing scheduling conflicts.

    Channel management

    + Champion the use of digital tools to drive the transformation of internal communication channels, optimizing them for maximum impact.

    + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate new platform capabilities and best practices into the content distribution process.

    Data-driven insights

    + Create and enhance analytics dashboards, providing stakeholders with real-time access to performance data and key metrics.
