    **Functional area:** Operations & Maintenance

    The Dispatch Operations team is responsible for the reliable operation of RWE Clean Energy generation resources within the North America Bulk Electric System footprint. The team monitors the performance of each interconnected generator in real-time and exercises control when needed to ensure the operation of the asset is in accordance with NERC and regional (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, SPP, CAISO) compliance and market standards.

    Role Responsibilities:

    + Oversee and guide real-time dispatch activities for multiple regions, ensuring optimal generation performance and compliance

    + Serve as lead operator during high-impact events, coordinating communications across internal teams and market authorities

    + Provide operational expertise in system upgrades, tool implementation, and process enhancements

    + Develop and maintain advanced reporting and monitoring tools to track fleet performance and compliance metrics

    + Mentor and train junior dispatch staff, providing feedback to improve operational readiness

    + Support audit preparation and evidence gathering for compliance with NERC and market operator standards

    + Assist in training new associates on ROC systems, protocols, and compliance requirements

    + Collaborate with engineering, asset management, and compliance teams to align operational practices with company goals

    + Work scheduled 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to support team needs

    + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager

    Job Requirements and Experiences:

    + A High School Diploma or GED is required

    + A Bachelor's degree from an accredited school may substitute for 2 years of work experience

    + An Associate’s degree from an accredited school may substitute for 1 year of work experience

    + A minimum of 7 years of work experience in a technical-related position

    + PJM System Operator Certification is required for the job

    + NERC System Operator Certification is optional

    + Advanced knowledge of multi-market operational requirements

    + Guides operational decision-making for multiple regions

    + Advises on procedure updates and operational improvements

    + Resolves high-complexity, multi-jurisdictional operational challenges

    + Leads root cause analysis for dispatch performance issues

    + Designs new reporting and monitoring solutions

    + Leads cross-functional operational initiatives

    + Interfaces with regulators, auditors, and market operators during investigations or audits

    Work Environment:

    This position is an office-based role in Austin, Texas. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.
