We are seeking a highly motivated **Engineering Intern** to join our **Summer 2026** internship program in **Tacoma, WA.** Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 50% document control and data analysis, 25% project management assistance, and 25% fieldwork.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a variety of engineering principles and practices as well as insights into the Environmental-Industrial Management industry and Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.

+ Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Mechanical Integrity Program
+ Learn about corrosion mechanisms and participate in corrosion monitoring and mitigation activities
+ Gain exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) principles, including the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) process, Management of Change (MOCs), Operating Procedures, Incident Investigation, and other elements of PSM
+ Take initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
+ Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including the pillars of Process Safety Management (PSM)
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors Company?
+ Enrolled in a Bachelor Engineering Program (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical or Industrial) in your Junior, Senior years, or recent graduate preferred
+ Proficiency in CAD or similar software for updating and modifying engineering drawings
+ Knowledge of P&IDs and piping ISOs preferred
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
+ Highly motivated and self-starter with the ability to work independently
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite – Excel, Word and Outlook
+ Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization written and verbally
+ Lift to 50lbs, climb ladders, stoop, bend, stand for prolonged periods, exposed to various weather conditions and work at heights
