Work You'll Do

As a Systems Admin, you will support the Enterprise Security Operations Center (SOC) with systems defense.

+ Deploy, configure, and maintain cybersecurity technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, vulnerability scanners, DLP, SOAR platforms).

+ Ensure health, availability, and performance of security tools by managing updates, troubleshooting issues, and monitoring system logs.

+ Assist with onboarding new data sources and integrating security tools with existing infrastructure.

+ Administer and support Windows and/or Linux servers (on-premises and/or cloud).

+ Perform system patching, backups, configuration management, and user account administration.

+ Monitor and maintain network infrastructure components (switches, routers, firewalls) for connectivity and security.

+ Respond to service tickets relating to security tool or infrastructure issues.

+ Conduct root cause analysis and remediate system performance or reliability problems.

+ Support incident response teams during security events by providing tool/infrastructure expertise.

+ Maintain up-to-date documentation for tool configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

+ Identify and implement opportunities to automate repetitive administration tasks (e.g., using scripts or orchestration tools).

+ Participate in access reviews and vulnerability remediation processes.

+ Work closely with security operations, networking, and IT support teams on joint initiatives.

+ Stay current with cybersecurity trends, emerging technologies, and vendor best practices.

Our Cyber Defense & Resilience offering assists clients in defending against advanced threats by transforming security operations, monitoring technology, data analytics, and threat intelligence. Helps manage and protect dynamic attack surfaces and provides rapid crisis and cyber incident response, ensuring clients can be ready for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions.

Qualifications

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

+ Active DOE Q clearance required.

+ Must be able to work full time on-site in Las Vegas, NV.

+ Minimum of 4+ years working as a systems administrator/engineer in a security technology operations environment.

+ Travel up to 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

+ At least one completed certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certification in Certified Intrusion Analyst (GIAC), Continuous Monitoring (GMON), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA A+ or equivalent.

+ Must have the ability to work shifts on a rotating basis for 24/7 support of clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 3+ years experience supporting large federal energy clients.

+ Knowledge of Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) tactics, techniques and procedures.

+ Understanding of possible attack activities such as network probing/ scanning, DDOS, malicious code activity, etc.

+ Understanding of common network infrastructure devices such as routers and switches

+ Understanding of basic networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP

+ Basic knowledge in system security architecture and security solutions

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $73,100.00 to $121,800.00.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
