JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Senior Technical Architect

Our client is a mobile and web platform revolutionizing the home care industry by streamlining administrative tasks such as data entry, note tracking, charting, time and attendance, payroll, and billable hour tracking. Their mission is to simplify these processes, empowering home care providers with a comprehensive practice management solution that enhances efficiency and care quality.

Role Overview

As a Senior Technical Architect, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of their full-stack platform, from front-end interfaces to backend systems and cloud infrastructure. This role requires a versatile TypeScript Software Engineer who can architect scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team, product managers, and designers to deliver innovative features, optimize performance, and ensure the platform"s reliability in a fast-paced startup environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Architect and implement complex features across the full stack (frontend, backend, and infrastructure) with minimal supervision, ensuring scalability and performance.

* Design and develop robust APIs (REST and GraphQL) to support seamless data integration and real-time functionality.

* Build and maintain event-driven architectures and microservices to enable flexible, scalable systems for home care workflows.

* Leverage Azure Container Apps, Docker, Azure Service Bus (or equivalent AWS or GCP Technologies) to design and deploy horizontally scaled systems that handle high transaction volumes.

* Create and optimize data models for NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB) to ensure data consistency, performance, and scalability.

* Write clean, maintainable, and testable TypeScript/JavaScript code adhering to team conventions and best practices.

* Develop and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests to support robust CI/CD pipelines.

* Participate in peer code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, and security.

* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions that align with the company"s mission.

* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and development issues efficiently, minimizing downtime.

* Maintain and update technical documentation, including API specifications, architecture designs, and onboarding materials.

* Break down complex tasks, provide accurate time estimates, and contribute to effective sprint planning.

* Take ownership of specific features or services, ensuring end-to-end reliability from development to deployment.

* Mentor junior developers through pairing, code reviews, and informal guidance, fostering a collaborative team culture.

* Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies, proactively integrating relevant advancements into the company"s stack.

* Propose and implement improvements to development processes, tooling, and workflows to enhance team efficiency.

* Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, particularly for healthcare-related applications.

Requirements

* Strong background in Computer Science, Software Development, and Client/Server architectures.

* 9+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, with deep expertise in full-stack development.

* Advanced proficiency in React for building dynamic, user-friendly front-end interfaces.

* Extensive experience designing and implementing APIs (REST, GraphQL) with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.

* Proven expertise in NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB), including data modeling for complex, high-volume applications.

* Strong experience with Azure cloud platforms, including infrastructure setup and management (Azure Container Apps, Docker, Azure Service Bus - or equivalent AWS or GCP technologies).

* Demonstrated ability to architect event-driven systems and microservices for distributed, scalable applications.

* Experience building and maintaining horizontally scaled systems to handle large-scale data and transaction loads.

* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and GIT version control systems.

* Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

* Proven leadership and mentorship experience, guiding junior engineers to success.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment, adapting to ambiguity and evolving requirements.

* Passion for continuous learning, staying updated on industry trends, and applying new technologies to solve real-world problems.

* Experience in the healthcare industry or with healthcare-related applications is a plus.
