Main Function:
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for installing, repairing, and providing
maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery, following the schedules
of established jobs. Follow safety regulations, quality standards and the
policies and procedures established by the company.
Main Tasks:
1. Install, repair and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on components
Mechanics of industrial equipment and machinery following schedules and itineraries
established in the department.
2. Install, repair and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on components
electrical and electronic equipment and industrial machinery following the times and
itineraries established by the department.
3. Install, repair and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on components
hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and industrial machinery following the times and
itineraries established by the department.
4. Perform calibration work on industrial machinery.
5. Analyze and detect any mechanical situation or malfunction in the
industrial machinery and equipment of production lines and carry out the
corresponding repairs.
6. Coordinate work priorities with department staff and/or their
immediate supervisor ensuring that work and schedules are completed
established.
7. Ensure the optimal operation of equipment and machinery on a daily basis
industrial in its assigned area.
8. Interpret plans, drawings, diagrams, and schemes of equipment and machinery
industrial for the solution of problems and/or defects.
9. Identify the parts, tools and materials necessary to carry out any
repair or preventive maintenance of industrial equipment and/or machinery.
10. Process purchase requisitions for tools and materials necessary for
repairs or preventive maintenance and channel them to the supervisor
immediate.
11. Refer to the immediate supervisor any need for external suppliers in the
repairs to industrial equipment and/or machinery.
12. Keep work areas clean and report unsafe conditions that may
affect employee safety.
13. Comply with the established rules and procedures related to health, safety and
environment.
14. Actively participate in meetings with department staff in order to
objective of discussing operational and/or administrative aspects of the company.
15. Comply with the rules, policies and procedures established by the department
of Human Resources and the company.
16. Make daily maintenance reports using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook)
17. To operate a motor vehicle on a regular or usual basis as part of the
performance of their duties and/or occasionally operate suspended floor cranes.
Education/Experience/Certifications or Licenses:
• Associate or Technical Degree in mechanics, electricity or electronics.
• 1 year of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing and equipment environment
industrials of intermediate complexity.
• License: Driver - Valid
Desirable requirements:
• Have a License as an Electrician Expert, Refrigeration Technician and/or Certificate in
Mechanics or Electronics.
• Plumber's License.
Skills/Knowledge:
• Intermediate level English.
• Reading and writing - intermediate level.
• Basic knowledge of welding.
• Knowledge to read and interpret schematics.
• Knowledge linked to quality, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
• Knowledge of processes and tools linked to the Lean methodology.
• Knowledge of statistics - basic level.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal and paint.
• Knowledge and ability to use the Windows operating system.
• Ability to interpret and read plans.
• Advanced level of production machinery handling.
• Knowledge in the operation and handling of instrumentation tools and
circuits.
• Knowledge of multiple operational processes.
• Advanced level of mathematics knowledge.
• Knowledge in inventory management.
• Knowledge of calibration.
• Knowledge of advanced product and/or process inspection.
• Knowledge of LOTO, electrical hazards, confined spaces, protection of
falls, chemical handling and safety equipment handling.
• Advanced level of electronics knowledge.
• Experience in complex mechanics.
• Experience in plumbing.
• Experience in refrigeration.
• Technical knowledge in health and safety.
• Basic knowledge in advanced level parts manufacturing.
• Experience in preparation and adjustments of production machinery - advanced level.
• Experience in water treatment systems.
• Knowledge of project management.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems/PPM process.
• Knowledge in paint application.
• Troubleshooting.
• Ability to plan daily tasks and/or coordination.
**Pay Details:** $16.50 to $17.25 per hour
