Formulation Scientist – Herbicide Development

**Location:** Chesterfield, MO (Onsite Interviews Required)

**Pay** : 35/hr

Overview:

This role is part of the **Formulation and Delivery Team** , supporting the development of next-generation **herbicide products** . The position involves close collaboration with research scientists to advance R&D initiatives and, to some extent, support commercially launched products.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Evaluate the chemical and physical properties of organic and inorganic substances to assess their suitability for formulated products.

+ Conduct hands-on laboratory work following established SOPs and safety guidelines.

+ Operate and maintain equipment such as pH meters, mixers, homogenizers, and milling systems.

+ Accurately document all laboratory tasks, procedures, and results in the **electronic laboratory notebook (ELN)** .

+ Work under the supervision of a senior scientist or manager, adhering to pre-established procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

+ **Bachelor’s degree** in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.

+ **Minimum 1 year** of relevant laboratory experience (academic or industry).

+ Solid understanding of basic chemistry and formulation principles.

+ Strong attention to detail and interest in performing hands-on lab work.

+ Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and good documentation practices.

Preferred Skills:

+ Experience with **rheometry** and **interfacial measurements** .

+ Proficiency in chemistry or chemical engineering fundamentals, including **mass balance calculations** .

+ Previous **formulation development experience** in industries such as **pesticides, foods, cosmetics, consumer products, or paints/coatings** .

**Pay Details:** $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
