Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer (Rolled Steel)
Job Description
Join a leading force in the energy transition, providing comprehensive solar tracker and software solutions for solar power plants. We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer with a strong background in quality control techniques, particularly those similar to automotive practices. This role requires an ability to solve problems effectively and implement change. You will work closely with suppliers and construction managers to ensure that product quality requirements are met from New Product Introduction (NPI) through production and installation.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with suppliers and construction managers to ensure product quality requirements are met.
+ Provide rapid response to emerging field issues, assisting in containment at project sites and supplier facilities.
+ Validate containment and root cause for quality issues, ensuring corrective and preventive measures are effective.
+ Report back to headquarters weekly, escalating critical concerns requiring immediate attention.
+ Lead and manage ISO audits, and manage supplier quality processes.
+ Organize and manage documentation effectively.
Essential Skills
+ 5-10 years of experience in quality control for steel manufacturing or QC in aerospace or automotive industries.
+ Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
+ Proficiency in process improvement, quality assurance, and document verification.
+ Experience with PPAP, CPK, supplier audits, and root cause analysis.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to travel with minimal advanced notice.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in leading ISO audits.
+ Ability to use Arena QMS
+ Experience in ASTM and crush test destruction.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

This role is based in our new office located in Nashville, TN. You will work in an environment that is dynamic and fast-paced, demanding a self-starter who can adapt to continual changes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44.57 - $60.10/hr.
