    Job Description

    This full-time opportunity involves working on two major construction projects located in Greenville and Ashville, Ohio. The position is initially contracted for 12 months, with the potential for direct hire afterward. The role is crucial in ensuring that construction documentation is meticulously maintained, and that worksite compliance aligns with engineering plans and specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Collect, maintain, and organize construction documentation.

    + Travel to construction project sites to review worksite compliance with engineering plans and specifications.

    + Maintain strong client relationships as the company's representative on the project site.

    + Maintain strong relationships and communication with contractors and subcontractors.

    + Verify design plan accuracy in the field.

    + Consult with contractors regarding construction practices, construction reports, and engineering designs.

    + Review changes in construction and materials specifications with the Project Manager or Project Engineer.

    + Keep daily logs of work progression.

    + Review waterline blueprints and communicate with general contractors and civil counterparts on the job site.

    + Report issues with the projects and provide solutions.

    Essential Skills

    + Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related program.

    + 2+ years of inspection experience for local municipalities or water resources/sewer projects.

    + Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures, and principles.

    + Willingness to travel to job sites or stay overnight weekly in Greenville and Ashville, Ohio.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in construction, inspection, and construction services.

    + Strong civil engineering and construction inspection skills.

    + Ability to maintain strong client and contractor relationships.

    Work Environment

    The job requires a mix of indoor and outdoor work environments, including office settings, job site offices, and construction sites. Travel is essential, and contractors have the option to drive to the site daily with mileage reimbursement or expense a hotel room. Meals are reimbursed up to a specified amount. The role does not involve roadway or bridge projects.

    This is a Contract position based out of Toledo, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
