Associate Patient Care Coordinator
•Description
Work hours 9-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
+ As a Patient Care Coordinator you will be responsible for providing support to clinical staff and patients. This is a center-based front office position.
+ You will greet patients entering the center to check in and assist them with checking out at the end of their visit.
+ Candidate will be working with 29 providers mostly through email some in person
+ Candidate will be taking referrals through phone and fax and checking benefits and entering clients into our EHR system.
+ Providing reception and clerical support in the clinics front office.
+ Scheduling appointments taking messages and responding to the needs of patients and callers.
+ Assist with new clients explain paperwork verify completion signatures consents obtaining insurance information and completion signatures consents obtaining insurance information and input face sheets.
+ Schedule new clients appropriately according to staff qualifications and insurance requirements then send text messages/emails to patients regarding upcoming appointments and canceled/rescheduled appointments.
+ Process payments for co-pays deductibles co-insurance self-pay and missed appointments fees.
+ Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality.
+ Basic understanding of medical terminology.
+ Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
+ Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel Outlook Athena RMS or other EHRs
+ Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences including non-medical staff.
+ Ability to work independently as well as be part of the team including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel).
Comfort with healthcare software and databases.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
