_Position Summary_
_We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing scalable enterprise applications using Java Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will also contribute to solution architecture, mentor junior developers, and collaborate across teams to drive innovation and delivery excellence. This position requires proficiency in AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, Tabnine) to enhance productivity and code quality. Experience or interest in Generative AI integration is a strong plus._
_Key Responsibilities_
+ _Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure microservices using Java Spring Boot._
+ _Build responsive front-end components using Bootstrap and integrate with RESTful APIs._
+ _Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product to deliver high-quality software._
+ _Integrate Generative AI APIs or models into enterprise applications where applicable._
+ _Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes._
+ _Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making._
+ _Monitor and optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues._
+ _Leverage AI coding tools to streamline development workflows and improve code quality._
+ _Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers._
+ _Participate in code reviews, tech talks, and workshops to foster a culture of learning and collaboration._
_Required Skills & Qualifications_
+ _3–5 years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development._
+ _Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and cloud-native development._
+ _Proficiency in Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for front-end development._
+ _Experience with DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines._
+ _Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and integration of AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face)._
+ _Proficiency in using AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer)._
+ _Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)._
+ _Knowledge of security best practices in enterprise applications._
+ _Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills._
+ _Adept at collaboration, execution, and continuous learning._
_Preferred Qualifications_
+ _Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or GCP._
+ _Exposure to AI/ML model deployment or prompt engineering._
+ _Agile/Scrum experience._
+ _Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer._
+ _Contributions to open-source projects._
_Education_
+ _Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent specialized training/professional qualification._

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$79,310.00 - $158,620.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
