    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in Rockwall. The role requires escorting patients, recording vital information, and assisting physicians with exams and procedures. This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

    Responsibilities

    + Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as needed.

    + Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.

    + Obtain all necessary patient records as required by physicians prior to treatment or procedures.

    + Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.

    + Assist physicians with exams and procedures by standing and taking notes.

    + Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.

    + Answer patient telephone calls and refer to physician or nurse/pharmacist as necessary.

    + Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN.

    + Inform physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows.

    + Perform other administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and reception as requested by supervisors or physicians.

    Essential Skills

    + Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent experience

    + Proficiency in using Athena software

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bilingual proficiency

    + Previous experience as a Medical Assistant will be considered for non-certified applicants

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a busy medical office with a smaller team, including a front office, Medical Assistant, and surgery scheduler. The work environment is supportive, with opportunities to collaborate directly with physicians.

    This is a Contract position based out of Rockwall, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
