Job Description
The Analytical/Quality Lab Specialist will conduct lab testing on industrial chemicals and raw materials used in fertilizers and food-grade product lines. The role involves performing specific gravity, titrations, and pH testing, along with the receipt and verification of raw materials against internal specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Test raw materials as required by QA/QC and release them for use by Production, including testing specific gravity, pH, wet chemistry assays, and trace materials using AA or HPLC.
+ Issue and review batch records for manufacturing and packaging.
+ Issue labels and seals as controlled documents, store label stock in a secured area with restricted access, and maintain a log for issued seals.
+ Print and review labels with the Production Supervisor.
+ Review and test finished bulk products to ensure quality standards are met before transferring them to storage tanks or packaging containers.
+ Conduct in-process and finished goods testing, and perform packaging inspections and visual inspections of finished goods.
+ Operators will pull samples and test them with established SOPs.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in chemistry, titration, pH testing, wet chemistry, HPLC, ICP, quality control, and pipetting.
+ Experience with GMP regulations and SQF exposure.
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
+ Minimum of 3 months of experience with titrations and pH testing in an academic or industry lab setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
