    Float Medical Assistant

    About the Role

    Seeking a dedicated and experienced Float Medical Assistant to join our cardiology clinic team in the East Valley. This role supports multiple providers and residents across five clinic locations (three in Chandler, two in Gilbert), providing essential patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced, non-hospital environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide basic patient care and treatments

    + Obtain and document vital signs and chief complaints

    + Alert physicians to any concerns or abnormalities

    + Assist with patient history and support clinical staff

    + Set up exam/procedure rooms and prepare instruments

    + Collect lab specimens and complete requisitions accurately

    + Coordinate workflow of Medical Assistants when needed

    + Obtain referral authorizations

    + Perform front desk duties including registration, check-in, and scheduling

    Must-Have Skills

    + Medical assisting experience

    + Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)

    + Ability to support multiple providers and residents

    + Experience rooming 15–20 patients per day

    Nice-to-Have Skills

    + Patient care and intake

    + CMA certification

    + Front office experience

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or U.S. Armed Forces medical services training

    + MA diploma (certification/registration preferred but not required)

    + 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience

    + Valid American Heart Association BLS card

    + Experience with patient check-in and scheduling software

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
