Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer responsible for developing and refining manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. The role requires leading process improvement projects, employing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and boost productivity.
Responsibilities
+ Design and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
+ Lead and participate in process improvement projects, utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Manage process improvement projects from conception through implementation.
+ Analyze process data to identify trends and recommend solutions for performance enhancement.
+ Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams for seamless integration of new processes.
+ Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of process specifications and changes.
+ Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and production staff on best practices and safety protocols.
+ Ensure all processes comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
+ Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health, safety, and 5S.
+ Work with a sense of urgency, effective communication, and speed.
+ Lead asset implementation in the plant, preparing design reviews and obtaining approvals.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
+ Strong problem-solving skills to analyze complex manufacturing issues.
+ Excellent leadership and communication skills for effective collaboration.
+ Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
+ Strong project management skills for planning and executing projects to meet objectives.
+ Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in manufacturing.
+ Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing resource planning.
+ Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in production transfer and industrial or manufacturing engineering.
+ Knowledge of line balancing and time studies.
+ Familiarity with work instructions.
Work Environment
You will work alongside one other engineer. The role may occasionally require working late nights and coming in on approximately two Saturdays a month to ensure project timelines are met.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Concord, New Hampshire.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
