    Responsibilities

    + Collect and analyze project data to support transportation improvement projects.

    + Lead or assist in the design and development of roadway plans, specifications, design calculations, and technical documents.

    + Calculate quantities and develop cost estimates for various projects.

    + Produce comprehensive plan sets for transportation projects.

    + Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.

    + Utilize excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address project challenges.

    + Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to coordinate with team members and stakeholders.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    + Understanding of site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site plan design.

    + Holds an EIT certification and has a background in civil design.

    + Experience or knowledge in land development and project management.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

    + 0 - 2 years of experience in civil engineering.

    + Previous internships with civil engineering firms are advantageous.

    + Familiarity with MicroStation, GEOPAK/Corridor Modeling, and OpenRoads Designer.

    + Knowledge of roadway design guidelines, standards, and specifications, particularly NCDOT, is beneficial.

    + Experience in NCDOT highway design is a plus.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, North Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
