    Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled Repair Technician to perform repairs on mechanical equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and isolating equipment malfunctions, replacing defective parts, and reassembling equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining calibration and safety standards and documenting all repair activities. Collaboration with production teams to minimize downtime and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are key components of this role.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.

    + Troubleshoot and isolate equipment malfunctions.

    + Maintain calibration and safety standards in accordance with ISO and OSHA guidelines.

    + Document repair activities and maintain accurate records.

    + Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime.

    + Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + experience in mechanical/electrical repair.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting, electronics, and electrical systems.

    + Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.

    + Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

    + Experience with equipment troubleshooting and diagnostics.

    + Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.

    + Understanding of motor control systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with welding and retrofitting.

    + Mechanical aptitude for assembly and disassembly of components.

    + Capability in reading and writing English.

    + Basic computer operation skills.

    + Calibration experience.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a manufacturing and industrial setting, offering a hands-on and fast-paced environment. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Safety is a priority, and the team is dedicated to maintaining a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

    This is a Contract to Hire position in North Kingstown, Rhode Island

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
