    Job Title: Mechanical/Electrical Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Technician to assemble industrial machinery by reading and interpreting work instructions, such as blueprints, sketches, bills of materials, or other authorized forms of documentation.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble components using blueprints, sketches, and other authorized documentation.

    + Safely operate tack welders and stud guns.

    + Maintain and submit accurate daily labor reports.

    + Identify major components, gauges, solenoids, valves, and fittings.

    + Lay out work by measuring, marking dimensions, and setting equipment per drawings.

    + Operate fork trucks, hand trucks, and various rigging equipment safely.

    + Apply vacuum grease, 'dope' pipe, and thread pipe.

    + Cut water hosing to length and prepare it accordingly.

    + Cut, bend, and attach flexi-bar from VRT to power feedthroughs.

    + Assemble pumping system skid by setting booster in place and attaching tubing to foreline piping.

    + Set mechanical pump in place, bolt to skid, and attach tubing to roughing piping.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in mechanical and electrical assembly.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

    + Mechanical and electrical aptitude.

    + Experience with wiring, panel wiring, and mounting.

    + Experience with mechanical and electrical testing.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with safely operating tack welders and stud guns.

    + Ability to operate fork trucks, hand trucks, and various rigging equipment.

    + Knowledge of identifying components such as gauges, solenoids, valves, and fittings.

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates in a very hot work environment during the summer, but it is clean, organized, and well-lit. The union work environment means you'll collaborate with one to two other team members while assembling heat treat furnaces. There are openings on both 1st and 2nd shifts. 1st shift runs from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (currently working 10-hour shifts from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm), and 2nd shift runs from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm (currently working 10-hour shifts from 4:30 pm to 3:00 am). Shift training may require flexibility, and seniority rules could result in shifts changing based on union agreements. Workdays are Monday through Friday, with additional hours on Saturdays.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.51 - $22.51/hr.
