Job Title: Sanitation Associate

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Sanitation Associates to maintain the integrity of product safety and quality in a food manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring an elevated level of cleanliness and sanitation, adhering to safety and quality regulations, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. There are open positions for both AM and PM shifts.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain work area and equipment in clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions.

+ Perform general industrial cleaning in production areas.

+ Operate cleaning equipment to maintain floors throughout the building and production areas, ensuring no spills or raw materials residue.

+ Empty all waste containers and replace bags.

+ Clean and disinfect washrooms, locker rooms, and lunchrooms.

+ Wash and dust walls, equipment, tanks, ceiling light fixtures, and vents to remove dirt, grease, and other foreign matter.

+ Report defective materials or spills that require extra time to clean.

+ Occasionally fill pails for production or assist in other production utility operator activities.

+ Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Essential Skills

+ At least one year of experience in industrial sanitation.

+ Experience in food manufacturing sanitation preferred.

+ Knowledge of GMP and industrial cleaning processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in chemical handling and housekeeping.

+ Ability to stand, walk for prolonged periods, and climb stairs.

+ Capability to lift more than 50 lbs. occasionally.

+ Comfort working in a food manufacturing production environment with exposure to noise and temperature variations.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic food manufacturing environment with both hot and cold areas due to the manufacturing and cooling operations. Employees must adhere to strict safety protocols, including wearing uniforms, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and other protective gear. The facility is subject to noise and temperature variations, and employees must be able to train on a day shift schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
