Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator in a fast-paced food production environment. You will be responsible for operating production machinery and ensuring the smooth running of the machines involved in tortilla production. This role requires adherence to strict food safety protocols, including wearing a full gown, hair net, and other protective gear, all provided by the company.
Responsibilities
+ Operate production machinery and oversee the associated processes.
+ Lift up to 50lbs of ingredients consistently throughout the day.
+ Weigh and pour ingredients into large mixing bowls and document the contents accurately.
+ Push mixing bowls filled with product and adjust oven temperatures and mesh belt speeds using ERP/HMI systems.
+ Turn on equipment and verify its proper function, notifying supporting departments of any issues.
+ Replace Mesh and Teflon belts safely and adjust machine settings to ensure proper size and weight.
+ Verify recipes, seasonings, weights, and sizes according to ERP System (Plex) requirements.
+ Fill out production paperwork clearly and accurately, maintaining ERP System requirements.
+ Record waste accurately and troubleshoot as needed.
+ Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
+ Participate actively in Food Safety and Food defense activities.
+ Assist the sanitation department with equipment cleaning and ensure parts are reassembled properly.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of experience operating production machinery, including equipment set-ups and adjustments.
+ Experience in food production; bakery experience is preferred.
+ Proficiency in computer skills for ERP system data entry.
+ Ability to lift between 30-55lbs consistently.
+ Comfortable working in a hot environment up to 100 degrees.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Basic English or Spanish language skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with mixing or blending is preferred.

Work Environment
This role is based in a food production environment that can reach temperatures of up to 100 degrees. You will be working with flour and other ingredients, meaning gluten particles may be present in the air. The position requires standing for up to 8 hours a day and involves lifting and moving ingredients and products. Safety gear, including full gowns and hearing protection, is provided by the company.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
