    Job Title: Avionics Technician

    **Pay:** $30 - $50/hr

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician with a strong understanding in cable laying, terminations, crimping, pinning, and soldering. The ideal candidate will be able to assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components while clearly documenting work performed. The role requires reading and interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.

    + Clearly document work performed, control equipment status tags, and log critical information during installation.

    + Verify parts requests and read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

    + Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, and heat shrink guns.

    + Communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, and stakeholders.

    + Perform duties on all shifts, in various weather conditions and physical locations, while wearing required safety equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in avionics, troubleshooting, functional testing, and aircraft avionics systems.

    + Proficiency in wiring, wire harnesses, schematics, avionics installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

    + Knowledge of aircraft electronics, maintenance, and assembly.

    + Ability to solder and work with coaxial cables.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + 4+ years of electrical/avionic aviation production experience preferred; military experience considered.

    + Knowledge of rotary or fixed-wing aircraft.

    + General knowledge of aviation electrical/avionic components and systems.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is based in the final assembly helicopter line or flight line. Technicians must be able to work the 2:00PM - 11:00PM shift and adapt to various weather conditions and physical locations. No tools are required, and there are opportunities for both 1st and 2nd shift positions. Unlimited overtime is available, and contractors who qualify may receive daily per diem, medical benefits, paid vacation and sick time, and access to an employee perks program.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
