Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

Join our team as a Machinist, where you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art CNC machinery, including new equipment arriving from Sweden. This role requires a short training period in Sweden to ensure proficiency with the latest technology. We have openings across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as a specialized tool and die position.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and maintain CNC machinery that is no older than 10 years.

+ Participate in training sessions in Sweden to learn about new machinery.

+ Work with tooling managers and supervisors to ensure optimal operation of machines.

+ Utilize skills in lathe and mill machining, including blueprint reading and setup.

+ Program machines using G&M codes and create conversational programs.

+ Engage in the setup and operation of EDM machines, as necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines.

+ Familiarity with G&M codes.

+ Experience in lathe and mill machining.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Capability to set up and operate EDM machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with EDM machines is a plus.

+ Ability to create conversational programs.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing facility features numerous presses and operates in a non-temperature-controlled environment. It is a dynamic setting where you will be engaged in hands-on work with advanced machinery.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surgoinsville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.00/hr.
