    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Machine Operator in a dynamic food production environment, where you will be responsible for operating production machinery and ensuring the smooth running of the machines. This role requires adherence to strict food safety protocols, including wearing a full gown and hair net. You will play a crucial part in producing tortillas for major companies across the United States.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and monitor production equipment, ensuring it runs efficiently.

    + Lift and manage up to 50 lbs of formula consistently throughout the day.

    + Weigh and mix ingredients, documenting contents accurately.

    + Adjust oven temperatures and mesh belt speeds using ERP/HMI systems.

    + Replace Mesh and Teflon belts safely and properly.

    + Verify recipes, seasoning, and product specifications according to ERP requirements.

    + Maintain accurate production paperwork and ERP system records.

    + Record waste accurately and troubleshoot discrepancies.

    + Collaborate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues.

    + Keep the work area clean and orderly.

    + Participate in Food Safety and Food Defense related activities.

    + Assist the sanitation department with equipment cleaning and part replacement.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in food production machine operation, preferably with mixing experience.

    + Comfortable with computer systems, specifically ERP systems.

    + Ability to lift between 30-55 lbs consistently.

    + Experience in operating production machinery and making adjustments to meet specifications.

    + Basic English or Spanish language skills, both written and verbal.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1-2 years of experience in food production or similar environments.

    + Bakery experience is preferred.

    + Commitment to daily attendance and career advancement.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a food production environment where temperatures can reach up to 100 degrees, requiring comfort with heat and fast-paced conditions. The environment involves dealing with gluten particles in the air, and requires adherence to strict dress codes, including wearing a full gown, hair net, and hearing protection. You will be standing for up to 8 hours a day, with both paid and unpaid breaks.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
