Aerotek's client is looking for a Finish Carpenter to join their team in the Elkridge, MD area
Job Description
+ As a Lead Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for building and installing soundproof panels at various client sites. You will oversee a team of 2-4 carpenters for projects in the DC and Baltimore Metro areas. This is an active role that requires you to manage and perform carpentry tasks, ensuring project success.
Responsibilities
+ Build and install soundproof panels, track systems, core systems with acoustics, and panel and fabric.
+ Oversee and coordinate a team of 2-4 carpenters.
+ Communicate directly with the operations manager and report progress.
+ Maintain project schedules, track progress, and engage with clients.
+ Perform carpentry tasks alongside your team.
+ Track timesheets, time, and labor efficiently.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in construction, specifically carpentry.
+ Strong finish carpentry skills including blueprint reading, cabinet installation, and trim work.
+ Effective communication and customer service skills.
+ Ability to provide proactive solutions and communicate with the operations manager.
+ Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and a good driving record.
+ Excellent time management skills.
+ Possession of basic carpentry tools.

+ Desire and ability to be trained in the installation of sound control products.

Work Environment
+ Work is conducted at client sites, primarily commercial and government locations. As one of the last trades onsite, maintaining a clean working environment is essential. A significant portion of the work requires U.S. Citizenship due to the nature of government projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
