    Job Title: CNC Laser Operator

     

    Direct Hire

    Job Description

    As a CNC Laser Operator, you will set up, operate, and maintain a CNC laser cutting machine to cut metal sheets and stainless steel according to blueprints and work orders. This role involves programming the machine, loading and unloading materials, adjusting settings for optimal quality, inspecting finished parts, performing maintenance, and ensuring a clean and safe workspace.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to program the CNC machine with precise cutting instructions.

    + Set up machine parameters, including adjusting lenses for operation.

    + Load raw materials onto the machine and operate the laser for cutting or engraving.

    + Remove finished parts and inspect them to ensure they meet specified dimensions and quality standards.

    + Perform routine quality checks on the machine and finished products.

    + Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the laser machine.

    + Adhere to safety procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Maintain production and quality logs and document actions for the next shift.

    + Monitor and reorder necessary supplies as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CNC machine setup and operation, including cleaning and calibration.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.

    + Understanding of CAD/CAM software for job setup and program creation.

    + Familiarity with programming languages like G-code.

    + Skill in inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.

    + Knowledge of selecting, caring for, and replacing cutting tools.

    + 5+ years of manufacturing experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Experience with sheet metal and other relevant materials.

    + Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software is a plus.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Columbus,OH.
