    Job Title: Installation Technician

     

    We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician for full-time employment in Jessup, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic upgrades and retrofitting vehicles, specifically in public safety vehicles. This role involves installing aftermarket equipment such as LED lighting, media systems, technology add-ons, and custom installations.

    Responsibilities

    + Install vehicle equipment and perform diagnostics/repairs in the shop or at customer locations.

    + Follow wiring diagrams and assembly instructions for light bars, in-car video, computer systems, canine units, and other electronic equipment.

    + Conduct basic programming of installed equipment, ensure full functionality, and troubleshoot as needed.

    + Demonstrate product and installation to customers, ensuring proper placement and programming of equipment.

    + Collaborate with the sales team and management to ensure customers are quoted all necessary parts and stay updated on installation/service bulletins.

    + Maintain an orderly and clean working environment.

    Essential Skills

    + High School diploma or equivalent.

    + 2+ years of experience in aftermarket vehicle enhancement and installation.

    + Intermediate knowledge of automotive electrical systems and vehicle wiring.

    + Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.

    + Ability to operate power tools and hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and wire strippers.

    + Possession of personal tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Law Enforcement or Fire/EMS vehicle installations preferred.

    + EVT Certification preferred, or willingness to work towards certification.

    + Familiarity with tools like multi-meters, power probes, crimpers, and coax crimpers.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
