    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment. The role requires monitoring and operating equipment during production to ensure quality output and minimal unplanned stops. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, adhere to standardized work and safe work practices, and contribute to a continuous improvement environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment to ensure quality production.

    + Load and unload items on the production line, including packaging and unpacking products.

    + Start and stop the production line as needed to maintain workflow and prevent safety hazards.

    + Inspect products for defects and remove defective items from the production line.

    + Produce products within 100% specification as requested by the customer.

    + Deliver product to meet scheduled customer demands and quality objectives.

    + Collaborate with manufacturing staff on quality and production-related issues.

    + Read and understand ruler and traceability records.

    + Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production, machine operation, and general production.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring with a tape measure.

    + Ability to interpret technical instructions and read blueprints.

    + Capability to run and operate similar equipment.

    + 3+ years’ experience in operating machinery and inspection in a similar environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

    + Display knowledge of key areas of the manufacturing process.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, Tennessee.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.26/hr.
