Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for performing in-process and final inspections, measuring components according to drawings and standards, and conducting visual inspections and measurements without altering parts. You will also review and maintain records, ensure compliance with IPC620 standards, and provide internal auditing and inspection support. This role involves generating reports, entering data into corrective and preventative action systems, and assisting in the development of quality processes.

Responsibilities

+ Perform in-process and final inspections.

+ Measure components in accordance with drawings and standards.

+ Conduct visual inspections and measurements without altering parts.

+ Review and maintain inspection records.

+ Ensure compliance with IPC620 standards.

+ Provide internal auditing and inspection support.

+ Collaboratively resolve quality issues.

+ Generate reports and follow up to ensure closure of actions.

+ Enter data into corrective and preventative action, and non-conforming materials systems.

+ Assist with developing quality processes.

+ Ensure tools and equipment are within calibration standards.

+ Apply knowledge of quality assurance concepts, practices, and procedures.

+ Plan and accomplish goals with a degree of creativity and latitude.

+ Share information and knowledge to achieve desired goals.

+ Administer training courses as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.

+ Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and feeler gauges.

+ Experience with ERP systems, specifically Dynamics.

+ Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and Excel for data entry.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled and very clean facility. The position operates from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. You will work alongside two other technicians and two quality engineers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
