Job Title: Lead Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Team Leader (Rapid Responder), you will be responsible for quickly addressing and resolving issues that arise during production, such as equipment malfunctions, quality control problems, or safety concerns, ensuring minimal downtime, and maintaining production efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Prioritize safety by driving our safety initiatives.
+ Lead changeovers and set up equipment for different product sizes.
+ Troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform minor repairs on mechanical equipment.
+ Collaborate with the QA team to ensure production meets quality standards.
+ Train new operators on equipment operation and minor adjustments.
+ Operate equipment in manufacturing cardboard container boxes or new product lines (bags).
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of experience in a team lead or related role.
+ 3-5 years of machine operation experience (CNC or manual).
+ 3-5 years of mechanical troubleshooting, production, and quality control experience.
+ Proficiency in inspection, industrial operations, and machine safety.
+ Ability to read blueprints and use hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proven leadership track record, especially in leading production output.
+ Ability to troubleshoot industrial machinery and articulate experiences in detail.
+ Experience with manual equipment preferred.
+ Experience in bag conversion applications for new product lines.

Work Environment
The work environment is a heavier industrial setting, not climate-controlled, where they manufacture rolls of paper/cardboard for packaging. Employees will work with both older machinery, which requires manual adjustments and troubleshooting, and new state-of-the-art equipment being installed next year.

This is a Permanent position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48297.00 - $48297.00/yr.
Union- Will provide copy of reynolds benefits
23.21/hr starting Rate
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Richmond,VA.
