Job Title: Material Handling Equipment Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Material Handling Equipment Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing equipment such as conveyors to ensure smooth operations in our large distribution facility. You will be part of a dynamic environment, working with advanced high-speed automation and robotic equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, such as conveyors.
+ Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
+ Perform battery changes and preventative maintenance on batteries.
+ Enter downtime data in the daily log and complete PM sheets.
+ Use electrical knowledge to identify and troubleshoot problems with equipment.
+ Track and store the department's inventory, including spare parts.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in industrial and equipment maintenance.
+ Proficiency in diagnostic testing and mechanical troubleshooting.
+ Ability to perform preventative maintenance and lockout procedures.
+ Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and motors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ At least 6 months of experience performing maintenance on equipment within the last 2 years.
+ Preferred background in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries.
+ Experience with complex systems and industrial equipment, specifically conveyors.
+ Candidates with a technical school associate degree, apprenticeship, certifications, or military training in maintenance are preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a large distribution facility with high-speed automation equipment, primarily consisting of robotic components. Performance is tracked by data and numbers to ensure expectations are met, although micromanagement is avoided. Be prepared to walk approximately 10,000 steps per day. Candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.79 - $28.79/hr.
