Job Title: Forklift Operator - 1st Shift - Start ASAP - $17/Shift

Job Description

The primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth flow of materials by stocking the line with unfinished goods and moving finished goods to the warehouse for shipping.

Responsibilities

+ Operate a sit-down hilo to transport materials.

+ Load the production line with necessary materials.

+ Shrink wrap and package parts for dispatch.

+ Handle materials efficiently and safely.

+ Organize the shop floor to maintain a tidy workspace.

+ Manage inventory control for accuracy.

Essential Skills

+ 6 months to 1 year of sit-down hilo experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency with sit-down propane forklifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with material handling, picking, loading, and stocking.

+ Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

Work Environment

The position is based in a plating facility with good circulation throughout most of the plant, though it is not the cleanest. You will need to wear work boots and operate the hilo in a tight facility. The role is available on the 1st shift, from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with 75% of the day spent on the hilo.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
