             Job Title: Ammonia Mechanic Technician Job Description Join a dynamic team as an Ammonia Mechanic Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving facility operations. Your expertise will ensure the efficient operation of our ammonia refrigeration systems, building heating and air conditioning equipment, and other critical systems. Responsibilities + Maintain the ammonia refrigeration system, building heating and air conditioning equipment, boiler systems, hot water generator, compressed air systems, and building sprinkler systems. + Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, vessels, valves, and other machinery included in the ammonia refrigeration equipment. + Collaborate with refrigeration contractors, electricians, and pipefitters to ensure compliance with safety policies and work standards. + Ensure continuous operation of all facility utility systems and peripheral equipment to support production schedules and facility conditions. + Coordinate both internal and external resources for facility maintenance. + Assist in the development of environmental programs required by local, state, and federal agencies. + Support recordkeeping and training requirements for Process Safety Management/Risk Management Plans (PSM/RMP) compliance. + Provide technical analysis and services for real-time data on refrigeration and operational equipment status. + Ensure ammonia compressors operate safely and efficiently to minimize energy consumption. + Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing issues. + Utilize drawings, technical records, and vendor diagrams to complete Preventative Maintenance documents related to machine overhauls and repairs. + Handle maintenance emergencies as required. + Complete duties in accordance with quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices, safety programs, and government regulations. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Essential Skills + Experience in ammonia refrigeration systems and facilities maintenance. + Proficiency in HVAC systems and boiler repairs. + Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or GED preferred. + Ammonia refrigeration certification preferred. + Certificate in HVAC preferred. + PSM training preferred. Why Work Here?
