    Description

    Company located in Norman, OK, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join their growing IT team. The Network Administrator will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of network fundamentals, routing protocols, and has demonstrated their ability to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Support the day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and connectivity solutions.

    + Diagnose and resolve basic network-related issues to ensure network continuity and reliability.

    + Assist in the configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.

    + Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring optimal uptime and system health.

    + Document network configurations, processes, and changes.

    + Adhere to company protocols for network security and data confidentiality.

    + Collaborate with the IT team to deploy updates, patches, or new technologies.

    + Provide on-call support for network-related incidents as required.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Skills:

    + Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

    + 2 + years of hands-on experience or knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.

    + Familiarity with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, or EIGRP.

    + Basic understanding of firewalls, switches, and wireless technologies.

    + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    + Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team setting.

    + CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification is a plus but not required.

    + Must have a clean background and be eligible to work in the U.S.
