    Job Title: Maintenance Manager

    Job Description

    Our Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team plays a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence. As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of facilities associates and may also supervise Area Maintenance Managers. Your primary goal will be to maintain a safe working environment and contribute to the sustainability of our business by minimizing system downtime and fostering innovation.

    Responsibilities

    + Support the Operations team in a safe, customer-focused manner.

    + Develop and design innovative solutions to complex problems.

    + Manage outside contractors and be on call for emergencies.

    + Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meeting deadlines and developing plans to achieve departmental goals.

    + Collaborate with the local Safety department to implement and audit safety programs.

    + Ensure compliance with all safety programs and procedures.

    + Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.

    + Facilitate technical and safety training and support the professional development of Maintenance technicians.

    + Mentor Maintenance technicians, providing direction to help them achieve their goals.

    + Develop business plans for the Maintenance department and guide their implementation.

    + Collaborate with the Finance team to develop, set, and track budgets.

    + Participate in efficiency improvement activities for the site and network.

    + Develop capital spending plans and perform cost analysis.

    + Promote excellent housekeeping practices.

    + Participate in weekly network Maintenance calls and conferences.

    + Provide specific feedback to enhance individual performance and conduct written performance appraisals.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.

    + Experience working with Microsoft Office products and applications.

    + Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil).

    + 5+ years’ experience in distribution or manufacturing.

    + Experience with automated conveyor systems, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, controls, electronics, and PC literacy.

    + Knowledge of N.E.C.

    + Ability to communicate effectively with Safety, Operations, Engineering, Sr. Management, peers, contractors, and vendors.

    + Six Sigma Certification and understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of San Diego, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $111000.00 - $147000.00/yr.

    Base salary

    o Sign-on bonus split over first two years (split evenly in their paychecks)

    • RSU (Restricted Stock Units) grant over 4 years with a backloaded vesting schedule

    o RSU Vesting Schedule:

    • Year 1: 5% (split between 6 and 12 months)

    • Year 2: 15%

    • Year 3: 40%

    • Year 4: 40%

    • Key Points to Emphasize:

    o Total Compensation (TC) is the focus, not just base salary

    o Stock has historically appreciated significantly (though past performance doesn't guarantee future results)

    o RSUs are denominated in shares, not dollars, at time of grant

    o Refresher grants typically start vesting after year 2
