Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Honer to work on machining parts according to precise specifications. The role involves interpreting job instructions, setting up tools, and ensuring the quality of machined parts through detailed inspections and adherence to safety protocols. This is in a machine shop aerospace space environment.
Responsibilities
+ Hone machined parts based on work orders, blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
+ Interpret job instructions, including tool lists, job routing, part drawings, and quality instructions.
+ Select and set up work holding, tools, and fixtures for machining operations.
+ Load programs into machine controls and adjust settings as necessary.
+ Ensure proper lubrication and cooling of work pieces during machining.
+ Execute machining programs, assist in measurements, and make adjustments to achieve finished parts.
+ Assist in inspecting first run pieces and subsequent pieces for conformance to specifications.
+ Maintain cleanliness of work area in accordance with 5S standards.
+ Adhere to all company-established safety protocols.
Essential Skills
+ Machine operating
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Proficiency with hand tools
+ Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints
+ Basic understanding of CNC lathe and mill machine controls
+ Proficiency in interpreting work orders and technical documents
+ Familiarity with basic shop math
+ Competency in using bore gauges
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in inspection and quality check
+ Understanding of honing machined parts according to specifications
+ Ability to maintain records and ensure equipment functionality

Work Environment
The position is based in a standard machine shop, operating on the **2nd shift** from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $25.00/hr.
