Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis for a duration of six months. This role requires working on a rotating Dupont 12-hour shift, with hours from 6 AM to 6 PM and vice versa.

Responsibilities

+ Perform electrical troubleshooting on electric arc furnaces, bucket elevators, pneumatic systems, and augers in an industrial setting.

+ Manage motor controls, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and DC-controlled systems.

+ Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.

+ Conduct minimal PLC troubleshooting, specifically with Allen Bradley Micrologic systems.

+ Perform preventive maintenance and install electrical components as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.

+ Proficiency with motor controls, including VFD and DC-controlled systems.

+ Basic knowledge of PLC systems, particularly Allen Bradley PLCs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Electrical journeyman certification is preferred.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Work Environment

The work environment is industrial and can be very dirty, requiring the use of steel-toe boots, hard hats, and safety glasses. Employees will train during the day for up to three months before moving to a rotating schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.92 - $27.92/hr.
