Job Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work primarily with steel splitter equipment, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Your expertise in electrical troubleshooting and wiring (120, 220, 480V and 3 phase motors and circuits) and mechanical systems (motors, gears, hydraulics, pumps) will be essential. You will also engage in welding and fabricating tasks, including repairing forklifts and utilizing a brake press. Experience in rigging equipment and reading electrical blueprints is required.
Responsibilities
+ Perform electrical troubleshooting and wiring for various voltages and phases.
+ Conduct mechanical repairs on motors, gears, hydraulics, and pumps.
+ Engage in welding and fabricating of carts, guards, and miscellaneous materials.
+ Repair forklifts and other material handling equipment.
+ Utilize rigging equipment such as forklifts or overhead cranes to move or install equipment.
+ Read and interpret electrical blueprints.
+ Maintain facilities and perform general maintenance tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical troubleshooting and wiring.
+ Mechanical aptitude with motors, gears, and pumps.
+ Welding and fabrication skills.
+ Experience with heavy machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with plastic injection machinery is a plus.
+ Brake press experience is beneficial.

Work Environment
This position requires working the 2nd shift from 3 pm to 1 am, with flexibility to overlap with the 1st shift on a 10-hour schedule. You will occasionally travel to Chicago or Detroit facilities for day trips, with all expenses covered for any overnight stays. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grandville, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
