• Material Coordinator/Laborer

    SSI needs to add material support positions our current list of services provided to the U.S. Navy.  This is a contingent opportunity requiring a signed letter of intent for proposal use.

    Responsibilities

    + Performs aspects of technical supply management work related to the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities and/or the assembly and delivery of aircraft component kits. Work usually is complex and can cross commodity area or function, and varies in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. This work requires

     

    consideration of program requirements together with specific variations from standardized guidelines.

     

    + Assignments require a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.

    + May perform as HAZMAT coordinator or work with HAZMAT Coordinator to ensure local HAZMAT is in accordance with regulations.

    Qualifications

    + High School diploma or equivalent.

    + A minimum of two years of experience in performing the stated functions.
