Responsibilities
Job SummaryThe Compliance Program Manager serves as a tactical extension of the Compliance Officer, ensuring the execution of investigations, monitoring activities, and corrective action follow-up. This role provides program-level authority for day-to-day compliance operations. Responsibilities include completing investigations at the direction of the Compliance Officer and/or VP of Compliance, monitoring corrective action plans, and supporting the implementation of special projects or regulatory requirements of an effective compliance program. Supports the ACO’s compliance program by carrying out delegated compliance activities in alignment with CMS requirements, ensuring effective implementation of monitoring, investigations, and corrective actions as part of the ACO’s participation obligations. The position does not oversee direct reports but exercises programmatic supervisory authority.Job Responsibilities
+ Conducts investigations at the direction of compliance officer for reported or identified compliance matters. Includes conducting interviews, gathering evidence, documentation of investigation efforts, summary of findings in addition to resolution and corrective action plans.
+ Conducts ongoing monitoring and auditing activities related to compliance program adherence. Complete special projects as assigned by the VP, Chief Audit & Compliance Officer or Compliance Officer to support certain key compliance/privacy risks as they arise. This may include specialized education and training offerings, auditing and monitoring activities, research and development of corrective action plans/processes, etc.
+ Compiles data and develops reporting metrics related to compliance program adherence and monitoring efforts. Creates reports, dashboards, summaries for compliance officers and/or Vice President of compliance. Maintains databases for tracking purposes.
+ Development of standardized training and education resources and/or tools-based industry trends, organizational need and or regulatory guidance.
+ Maintains competency and skills through research and study of industry periodicals, newsletters, journals; attends conferences locally and nationally as appropriate, participates in webinars, etc.
Education
+ Bachelor's Degree – Required
+ Master's Degree or JD - Preferred
Experience
+ 5 years working in health care compliance function. Direct involvement in compliance program implementation or oversight. Experience with ACO compliance, revenue cycle, coding, healthcare operations, or risk management is beneficial – Required
+ 7 years working in a compliance support function. Experience in a revenue cycle, coding, healthcare operations, risk management or legal role beneficial - Preferred
License and Certifications
+ CHC - Certified Compliance Professional - Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other compliance related certification - Required
