Hours Per Week: 36 hours
Hiring Range: $24.52-$31.88
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities: • Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hands required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
• Assists surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.
Education:
• High school diploma/GED * Certified Surgical Technician
Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider.
+ Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
• Certified Surgical Technician credentialed by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Has successfully completed a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists and holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization; has completed an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps; provides evidence that the person was employed as a surgical technologist in a healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one year, occurring within the four years immediately prior to January 1, 2015; or is in the service of the federal government, to the extent the person is performing duties related to that service
