About the Role

Join Baylor Scott & White Health as a **Pediatric ICU Nurse Manager (RN)** and lead a compassionate, high-performing PICU team at McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, TX. This leadership opportunity is ideal for experienced ICU or PICU nurses ready to make a meaningful impact in pediatric critical care.

Key Responsibilities

As the **PICU Nurse Manager** , you will:

+ Lead and mentor a team of pediatric ICU nurses and clinical staff

+ Promote a collaborative, patient-centered care environment

+ Ensure compliance with hospital policies and nursing standards

+ Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

+ Support staff education and professional development

+ Oversee department operations including staffing and scheduling

+ Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

+ Active RN license in Texas

+ BSN required

+ Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (ICU/PICU leadership preferred)

+ BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

+ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills **Preferred:**

+ National specialty certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 years)

+ Experience managing staff in pediatric critical care or acute care settings

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required

+ Active RN license in Texas (or compact)

+ Minimum of 3 years’ RN experience, preferably in ICU or PICU

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days of hire)
