They are seeking a candidate with over 10 years of accounting experience and at least 5 years in a managerial role. While a CPA is preferred, it is not required for the position. The ideal candidate will have experience either working at a public accounting firm or collaborating with external auditors. The role offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $190,000, along with a 15% bonus opportunity. Job Description

A growing, multi-entity organization in the professional services sector is seeking a Corporate Controller to provide strategic accounting leadership and drive operational excellence across its finance function. This role will oversee a high-performing accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

+ Lead strategic accounting initiatives and provide financial leadership across the organization.

+ Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and operational excellence.

+ Drive process improvements and scalability in accounting operations, including systems, general ledger, payroll, and cash management.

+ Ensure accurate and timely management of general ledger, project accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations across multiple business units.

+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver financial insights that support decision-making and performance optimization.

+ Oversee the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, policies, and internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.

+ Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the integrity of financial statements and adherence to reporting deadlines.

+ Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.

+ Lead annual audit processes and ensure timely, accurate documentation.

+ Identify risks and process gaps, implementing proactive solutions to strengthen internal controls.

Essential Skills

+ Deep knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit processes.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

+ 10+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ CPA certification preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with direct staff supervision.

+ Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Background in public accounting is a plus.

+ Demonstrated success in managing external audit processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $170000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
