             Job Title: Sourcing Project Lead Job Description The Sourcing Project Lead is responsible for coordinating external supply chain activities from project initiation through to execution and closeout. This role ensures alignment with the project strategy and collaborates with the project team to maintain the sourcing strategy, facilitating effective coordination of external supply chain activities. Responsibilities + Define and execute the external supply chain strategy with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines. + Prepare the external supply chain project plan, focusing on strategy, schedule, and budget. + Achieve savings targets by applying standard levers through the Sourcing Team while meeting project cost, schedule, and quality requirements. + Coordinate external supply chain activities with category managers for assigned projects. + Develop new suppliers and alternative material sources with Category Managers, focusing on high quality and low cost, particularly from best cost countries. + Participate in project planning, scheduling, and production control. + Maintain the project purchasing dashboard using standard tools. + Consolidate and validate internal and external budgets for sourcing, logistics, and quality. + Track and manage project costs and time variances, taking actions to prevent budget deviations. + Interface with project management and engineering to maintain material targets and sourcing resource requirements. + Identify critical and strategic suppliers in collaboration with category management. + Focus on project objectives, including contractual conditions, purchasing budget, planning, and quality. + Anticipate available discounts and maintain the committed budget. + Set the external supply chain planning for purchasing and delivery teams, ensuring consistency with the overall project planning. + Work with the external supply chain team to achieve project milestones, deliveries, and deadline compliance. + Summarize external supply chain activities for the project. + Review the project external supply chain budget, risk and opportunities matrix with stakeholders and functional management, ensuring progress and updates. + Ensure compliance with company procedures and processes. + Participate in best cost country sourcing to optimize purchasing value. + Identify underperforming suppliers during the project life cycle. + Engage in Value Analysis and Kaizen blitz projects to improve sourcing. + Utilize company software applications such as SAP, Pyramid, DMT, the Vault Document Storage, and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain, or relevant experience from recent internships. + Project-based purchasing experience. + Strong negotiation skills with knowledge of legal language. + Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. + ERP experience, preferably with SAP. + Analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work in a team, prioritize, multi-task, and organize. + Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and communicate technical information. + Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $27.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
