    Job Description

    This role involves supporting effective decision-making through thorough economic, financial, and market analysis of critical issues. This includes capacity planning, price and cost modeling, and calculating returns on investment. The position also supports capacity forecasting, budgeting, and reporting efforts related to operating expenses, capital, and resource allocation. Additionally, the role involves designing and coordinating the development of systems and tools to accommodate the group's rapidly evolving business needs.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct economic, financial, and market analysis for effective decision-making.

    + Support capacity forecasting, budgeting, and reporting efforts.

    + Design and coordinate systems and tools development for evolving business needs.

    + Utilize Python-based modeling and enhance existing Python jobs.

    + Combine multiple data sources to produce actionable outcomes.

    + Assist with customer issues related to existing Excel-based models.

    + Hold weekly meetings with customers to understand and resolve issues.

    + Provide support to global tax teams through financial modeling.

    Essential Skills

    + Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.

    + 3-6 years of experience in capacity planning.

    + Strong analytic skills with experience in building and managing financial models.

    + Fluency in MS Excel and knowledge of SQL.

    + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to work independently and adjust priorities in a changing environment.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Graduate degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.

    + Experience in operations or capacity planning is a plus.

    + Experience with QuickSight or Tableau.

    + Python modeling experience.

    + Certification from a coding bootcamp is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility in project focus, allowing individuals to explore areas of interest and shape their own career path. The work environment is collaborative, supporting tax professionals through financial modeling and providing support to global tax teams. The immediate team consists of approximately 8 members and works in a setting that requires a self-starter mindset due to significant ambiguity.

    This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, Washington.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
