Job Description
Commercial installation company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant/ Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organization skills and be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing account information, and ensuring compliance with accepted accounting principles. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to special projects and work closely with various functional leaders within the organization. Utilizing QuickBooks and advanced Excel daily.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
+ Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules.
+ Analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month-end close and resolve any outstanding accounting issues in a timely manner.
+ Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules.
+ Understand and analyze Intercompany transactions.
+ Prepare bank reconciliations.
+ Prepare various sales reports and KPI reports.
+ Maintain fixed assets and depreciation calculations and analyses.
+ Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
+ Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
+ Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ QuickBooks experience required.
+ Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
+ A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a Staff or Senior Accountant role.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Must effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
+ Attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Planning and organizing.
+ Strategic and tactical thinking.
+ Effective communication skills.
+ Problem identification and analysis.
+ Excellent teamwork skills.
+ Advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
+ Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles.
+ Knowledge of auditing practices and principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of Lease Accounting ASC 842 is a plus.
+ Experience and knowledge of M&A is a plus.
+ Ability to be flexible and move project priorities as needs arise.
+ Experience with acquisition accounting is strongly preferred.
+ Familiarity with Excel functions such as pivot tables, vlookups, and SUMifs.
+ Experience with both QuickBooks online and desktop versions.
+ Manufacturing industry experience (preferred)

Job Type & Location
This is a 6-month Contract position (potential to extend further), offering a HYBRID work schedule, based out of Irvine, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $40.87/hr.
